Sally’s Sound Hole
2021

I was commissioned to design an animated logo for a new Sydney music venue and rehearsal/recording studio. Again using audio reactive animation, I incorporated visual representation of music into the design.

Recovidry
2020

“Recovidry” was a series of remote-viewing, live music performances recorded during lockdown at the Newtown Town Hall Hotel and funded by the Inner West Council. I was commissioned to design an animated logo and create a short introduction for the show.

For the logo, I created a reactive audio spectrum animation in Adobe After Effects and used this to build a “flatten the curve” graph. This was to express the musical aspect of the series as well as its role protecting local artists in the Covid-19 era. In the full introduction, I used audio reactive animation mixed with live establishing footage I shot on a Canon 5d Mark II.

I wanted to experiment with mixing elements of physical pen and ink drawings and digital animation.

Using scans of original artwork, I created this interactive short story in Hype.
